Amber Walker has served the Deputy Director for Sheriff Accountability Action for 4 years, a political organization working to reduce harms that sheriffs cause in communities across the country. She has worked 15+ years in the justice ecosystem focusing on the liberation and rest for Black and brown folks, from addressing the housing and economic crisis to her current work in reimagining public safety and accountability. She believes that true public safety is when all people have what they need to thrive and be healthy.
