Ameca Reali
Ameca Reali is an attorney with a deep commitment to addressing issues of social and racial inequality. Her early life experiences and community ignited her passion for Black liberation, abolition, and her broader work in creating more inclusive, thriving communities. Since her graduation from Loyola University of New Orleans College of Law, she has co-founder and served as the Executive Director of the Justice and Accountability Center, where she helped establish a mobile expungement clinic that assisted thousands of people in Louisiana in addressing issues related to arrest and conviction. During her time as Director of Economic Justice Programs at the Foundation for Louisiana, she developed grant-making strategies focused on areas such as housing, public health, and criminal justice. At Law for Black Lives, she serves as the Membership Director. She created programs and a support system for legal professionals working towards Black liberation. Currently, she serves as the Executive Director of Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center is a thirty-year-old civil rights organization.
