Estella Habal is an original defender of the International Hotel, a San Jose State University Professor Emerita, and author of the definitive book on the International Hotel eviction, San Francisco’s International Hotel: Mobilizing the Filipino American Community in the Anti-Eviction Movement. Hilton Obenzinger is a writer and long-time Palestine solidarity activist and was an active supporter of the I-Hotel anti-eviction movement. He is the author of This Passover or the Next I Will Never Be in Jerusalem, which received the American Book Award. His most recent book is Witness 2017-2020. He is Associate Director Emeritus of Stanford University’s Chinese Railroad Workers in North America Project.
