Glenn Perušek teaches in the Building Trades Academy, the educational arm of North America’s Building Trades Unions, housed at Michigan State University. He directs a small strategic research and education firm that works with unions and advocacy organizations. He was director of the Center for Strategic Research (national AFL-CIO); studied at Kent State University (BA), and the University of Chicago (MA; PhD), where was a Merriam Fellow and winner of the Baker Prize, a research competition in the social sciences. Glenn was a journeyman member of the International Typographical Union; today he is a member of Teamsters Local 469.. With Peter Olney he edited interviews on strategic position with John Womack, Labor Power and Strategy (Oakland: PM Press, 2022).
