Sam Barnes is an Atlanta-based writer and researcher, covering Georgia politics and government transparency with a focus on social justice issues. They are one of the co-founders of and a former researcher for the Atlanta Community Press Collective, which was a recipient of the Center for Civic Innovation’s Good Trouble Award in Transparency in 2023.
