Arekia S. Bennett-Scott is the Executive Director of Mississippi Votes and Mississippi Votes Action Fund. Over the last 12 years, Arekia has been co-creating self-sustaining communities throughout Mississippi through a Black Feminist-driven vision that centers human dignity at the core of enhancing the quality of life for all, especially Mississippi’s youth. Arekia believes in the promise of democracy and has dedicated her life to seeing it through in her lifetime.
