Beth Blacksin

Beth Blacksin lives in Chicago where she has been a nurse activist in the single payer, labor and women’s movement for decades. With a PhD in nursing, she is also a researcher, focusing on public health.  She is currently on the steering committee of a citywide intersectional coalition working to create proactive housing inspections for all city rental properties. She is also collecting oral histories capturing the experiences of African American public health nurses.
