J. Kirby lives in Kensington, Brooklyn and works full-time as an editor while raising her two kids. Her previous job, as a case worker in a women’s homeless shelter, and her childhood in a developing country helped shape her political conviction that organized communal efforts are essential to confronting poverty and social injustices.
