JoEllen Chernow

Jo Chernow is a survivor, organizer, and Co-Director of Survivors Know. For 30 years, she has organized workers, built grassroots power, and led campaigns advancing survivor justice, labor rights, and progressive policy at the local, state, and national levels. Survivors Know is a Midwest-based organization that works to transform the systems, culture, and conditions that enable power-based violence through survivor-led organizing and non-carceral approaches to community safety, accountability, and collective care.
