Cody R. Melcher is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at The Graduate Center, City University of New York. His research, which has been published in “Political Behavior,” “Ethnic and Racial Studies,” “Critical Sociology,” and elsewhere, focuses broadly on the intersection of race and class; specifically the effect of economic insecurity on the social and political attitudes of Americans. He teaches at the City College of New York.
